100 Thieves announces Project X, the organization’s own game

American esports organization 100 Thieves has announced that they will release their own game. In a post this week on LinkedIn, 100 Thieves President and COO John Robinson said the game will be “the biggest bet the company has ever made,” but did not specify what category or modality it falls into.

To spearhead the project, 100 Thieves brought in Pete Hawley, former CEO of Telltale Games, as head of production. Having developed hits such as Burnout Paradise, Fable and Little Big Planet, Pete will now be responsible for setting up the development studio and leading the entire project.

The road is long and 100 thieves know it. In the note, they say they deeply believe in the potential of the so-called Project X and want to share every step of the way with the community. Jon also said he was confident as the game would be made “the 100 thieves way” and would feature content creators from the organization and esports professionals.

Thus, 100T has opened up positions for software engineers, designers and artists who want to share the enthusiasm for the project and bring it to life.
