Of the 24 teams that will participate in the championship, 18 were invited. The remaining vacancies were filled by six community teams after the selection, which took place from May 18 to 22. A total of 891 teams registered to participate in the tournament.

The teams were divided into two groups that would compete against each other for five takedowns per day.
