Competitive racing will return to Gran Turismo soon, with the Gran Turismo World Series 2022 Championship kicking off May 27 and 28 along with the opening stages of the first online season. Any player who owns the PlayStation 4 version of Gran Turismo 7 or PlayStation 5 can join the series by entering the sport mode of the game. Once there, simply register for the Nations Cup, where you can compete for individual glory or on behalf of your country, and the Producers’ Cup, where you can enter into a virtual contract to compete on behalf of your favorite brand.
The Gran Turismo World Series (formerly known as the FIA Gran Turismo Championships) will feature live streaming in 2022, bringing the best players from around the world to the same stage in front of the cameras.
The best riders of Online Season 1 will be invited to the three-day World Series Showdown in July against the top riders of the 2021 Championship at the exciting Red Bull Hangar 7 in Salzburg, Austria.
The World Series continues with a second season where the fastest drivers will be invited to challenge the world stars in the world final. After a two-year hiatus, the finals returned to the prestigious Sporting Monte-Carlo, where the 2018 and 2019 World Finals were held.
