Free Fire’s newest update, Redemption: Unite, is now available. Among the news, the update adds the M24 weapon and new features to the Creation Workshop. Fans will also find upgrades in the Battle Royale mode, map balance in the Contra Squad mode, and tweaks to the active abilities of some characters.
skill adjustment
To encourage players to try new combos and new fighting styles, several Free Fire characters have received adjustments to their active skills in this new update. Changed abilities include: Sound of Alok in a box; Skyler’s Destroyer; Thirty Steffy Shelter; tuned Chrono shield; Kenta’s Defense of the Samurai; “Acceleration” Misha; and Steel Gel Wall by Nairi, among others.
In addition to active skill tweaks, other characters like Wolfrakh, Dimitri, and D-Boas have received tweaks to improve their gameplay. Starting with this update, Wolfra has reduced the difficulty of activating Spotlight, now requiring only three spectators to activate it instead of six.
Dimitri, on the other hand, had an improved self-rescue experience. Players who activate the Healing Strike ability will be able to stand up and move on their own without losing health. Fans will also feel the difference when using D-Boas’ Foot Break. The movement speed provided by the skill is no longer dependent on the weapon selected for use on the battlefield.
The hostess is coming
A new Free Fire character will be coming to the game soon. Created to represent global pop artist Anitta in the game, Patroa will bring themed items that players can obtain through in-game events. Announced this month, the new Free Fire partnership was developed with Anitta, who was directly involved in the entire creative process, leaving her mark throughout the event. Check out the images of the two versions of the Patroa skin below:

Rankings have a new face
With this update, Ranked Battle Royale and Contra Squad will have a new interface and two new reward tiers. In addition to the Gold skins, Platinum or Diamond rank players will be able to get an epic weapon skin for a limited time, and Master or Elite rank players will be able to get a special rank emote.
Starting with the new seasons of Battle Royale and Contra Squad, by playing the specified minimum number of matches, players will also unlock a new reward system that can be collected throughout the season. After collecting their rewards, fans will be able to check out new special items in the Trade Store, which will now be updated with each new season.
Balance of Bermuda, Kalahari and Alpine Islands
In this update, the Bermuda, Kalahari and Alps maps have been balanced for the Contra Squad mode. Changes have been made to equalize the chances of winning on all of them.
To this end, containers at the Nurek Dam in Bermuda have taken up new positions. The Kalahari Ruins have been removed and one of the Safe Harbor gear areas has been changed so that both sides need to travel the same distance. The same change was made to the Liberty area of the Alps map.
An even more complete creative workshop
Creation Workshop maps and a mode editing feature appear in Free Fire. Players will now be able to create their own maps and game mechanics. The game includes tools with the ability to add interactive elements to maps such as Moco’s Tower 1 and Zombie Wave.
The Workshop will also allow you to build smaller maps on Victory Island, a new scenario created for players who enjoy conflict in small crowded places right in the center of the map. Check out all the news from the Creator Workshop on the Garena Dev Blog.
The new M24 arrives at Free Fire
Players have access to new weapons. The M24 is a sniper rifle with a high rate of fire. The weapon is designed for ranged attacks and deals 88 base damage to the enemy. The update also brings performance optimizations to other weapons such as FAMAS, M14, M4A1-Z, SCAR, GROZA and more.
What’s New in Battle Royale
It will now be easier to find rare items on the map thanks to the new equipment color system. With the new update, the item will emit a colored glow based on its rarity in the game. Thus, the tier 1 ultimate weapon is tinted gold. Level 2 Ultimate Weapons, Airdrop Normal Weapons, Ultimate Chips, Helmets and Vests Lvl. 4 and the number of FF chips (up to 500) are colored in gold +. Finally, tier 3 ultimate weapons and upgradable air weapons are colored red.
Light emission has also been placed in airdrops. Those with rarer items also have more intense lighting. Also, when the player is near a falling airdrop, a sign will appear indicating where they will land, and if the item is already looted, the light will disappear even if there are some items left in the box.
Other changes have been made to Battle Royale, such as an increase in return zone time from 600s to 620s and a 10% reduction in gel wall build time. To learn more about the updates, visit the Garena Dev Blog.
Free Fire MAX Special Upgrades
In the new Free Fire MAX update, some optimizations have been made in the Creation Workshop, such as adding facial expressions for some characters and improving the quality of sound effects during matches. The app itself considered reducing the package size as a way to make game graphics less demanding on some phones and to ensure that players can enjoy high resolution graphics without causing their devices to overheat.
