Six Major Charlotte: ‘It’s unacceptable,’ says HerdsZ on game conditions

Since winning this Monday (16) against DarkZero Esports at Six Major Charlotte, players Gustavo “HerdsZ” Erdina and Gleydson “GdNN1” Nunez of w7m Esports have criticized the poor playing conditions. This is because both of them, Team oNe and FURIA, are competing in Mexico due to lack of time to issue visas and travel to the United States.

In an interview for the official broadcast of Rainbow Six Esports Brazil, the duo questioned the difference in latency between the teams in Mexico and North Carolina, the state hosting the tournament.

In response to a question about the match, HerdsZ spared no words to describe the poor conditions given to teams playing from a Latin American country.

“It is unacceptable to play with such a ping, to play in such conditions. It’s unplayable. Historic campaign in BR6, runner-up of the elite six, to come here, play with 80 ping, unable to make a league, with teleport operators. Sorry, but this is unacceptable,” said HerdsZ.

GdNN1, in turn, highlighted the team’s ability to defeat DarkZero in the opening. However, the player stated that if they had thought of a strategy in the circumstances they were in, they would have been crushed.

“Because we won, it was for us. Because it was impossible to play. We won the race without giving up the Brazilian way. If you play strategy against strategy, they will beat us 7-0 every game,” he said.

He also commented on the ping equivalency in practice matches held in Mexico against teams from the USA, which was not replicated in the tournament, giving a big advantage to teams playing in person.

“This is completely different. We even assumed it would be online because we are training with North American teams and Charlotte members. With a ping of 40 versus a ping of 40, there is no minus for anyone. But it gets here, we have 80 pings, and there 1, ”commented GdNN1.

Finally, HerdsZ said that he would like w7m to be present in Charlotte, but notes that since this is not possible, there must be a balance.

“We are here in Mexico not of our own free will. We’d love to be in Charlotte, but there has to be a consensus on both sides.”

w7m esports will play again today at Six Major Charlotte against Heroic at 18:45 GMT. Follow the Rainbow Six Mundialito emotes on Brazil’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
