Wargaming, developer and publisher of World of Warships and World of Warships: Legends, is releasing content-rich updates to two of its flagship naval combat MMOs this week. The PC version features the Brazilian Tier VIII battleship Atlântico, now available for construction at the Clydebank shipyard.
From the release of the update on May 19, players will have up to three weeks to complete tasks and purchase this ship in Brazil. In addition, players will have access to a new fleet of French cruisers in the update, as well as new content from Azur Lane through a partnership with the hugely popular anime and mobile game.
Console players will be able to experience the new pan-European early access destroyers in World of Warships: Legends and take part in the five-week Back to Belfast campaign to win the mighty Tier VII version of Belfast ’43.
World of Warships celebrates new seasons New ships, seasons and more
In addition to the presence of the Brazilian battleship Atlântico in the shipyard, three new French cruisers will debut in this update. Tier VIII teams Cherbourg, Tier IX Brest and Tier X Marseille are available to players in Early Access; all complete with high caliber weapons and deadly close combat firepower.
Azur Lane is also returning to the open sea. The update will introduce camos for the Iowa, Indomitable, and Shōkaku ships, as well as 6 new commanders, including the famous Bismarck and New Jersey, as well as commemorative flags. AL Aurora and AL Azuma will expand the list of Azur Lane ships in the game.
At the end of the update, players will also be able to explore the entire set of Italian destroyers and take part in the new seasons of Ranked and Clan Battles. Also returning is the fan-favorite Arms Race game mode in Random and Co-op Battles. See the full patch notes at this link.
Pan-European ships in World of Warships: Legends for consoles
Leading this World of Warships: Legends Early Access update are seven pan-European ships. Added a Polish cruiser and six Swedish destroyers, from Tier I Gryf to Tier VI Skåne. Tier VII Östergötland and this line of fast-firing destroyers can be researched with the start of the next update. In addition, two new commanders are joining the fleets: Konrad Helfrich, the all-purpose pan-European commander, and Stig Hansson Erikson, the dedicated destroyer commander.
The Back to Belfast campaign was also released as part of this update. Those who complete it with active Admiralty Support will receive a powerful version of the legendary Tier VII cruiser Belfast ’43. Players can also enter the new auction system by offering doubloons and credits on shared lots containing various items. This update also brings three new Arena Seasons and marks the return of most of the Arms Race perks. You can find the patch notes here.
