Escape from Tarkov is already a punishing game in itself, like many games like Elden Ring and Super Meat Boy. However, there are games that you can judge even if you haven’t played them.
There is an in-game event in Tarkov called “Wipe” which acts as a server-wide kill switch.
It actually takes all the levels, weapons, and progress in your game and puts them in an incinerator, forcing everyone back from the first frame for game balance reasons.
This appears to have been done to ensure that players don’t break their controller in the middle after killing top players multiple times.

Tarkov wipes are usually activated after a major patch update that comes out every six months or so. The latest removal took effect on December 12 and isn’t expected to be new until mid-summer. Wipes are rarely used, as Tarkov doesn’t want to disappoint his players by constantly resetting their progress. So, due to its activation in December 2021, it is expected to happen between June and July of this year. For those who want to make the road easier and have nothing to do this summer, be sure to delete the server and jump when everything is weakest and tasks are easiest.
