Wargaming, the developer and publisher of the free-to-play multiplayer naval combat game World of Warships, today announces the details of its initiative. The longest night of museums, designed to promote and support naval museums around the world. Starting May 18, World of Warships will publish one museum article per week, highlighting the greatest landmarks in world naval history. This will include interviews with curators and introductions to these heritage sites for those unable to visit.
World of Warships articles feature hidden symbols to encourage readers to make up a special bonus code. The first person to crack the code will win a five-day, fully-paid and escorted trip to one of the published naval museums.

These articles will also include footage from last year’s event, which saw more than 1.4 million people take a virtual tour of over 15 naval museums around the world via Twitch and YouTube.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, museums have been hit hard over the past couple of years. Financial impact aside, many do not have their own digital platforms to share their exhibitions and make the desired impact on the world remotely. That’s why Wargaming, developer of the world’s most historically accurate naval combat game, World of Warships, continues to support these museums and bring them to a wider audience.
