Monsters returning from the main game appear with new abilities and behaviors when they appear in Master Rank quests, and in addition, two new monster subtypes that debuted in Rise of the monster hunter comes to expansion. The newly discovered Somnakant Aurora releases a permanent icy mist that threatens to freeze anything that gets too close.

The full digital event, subtitled in Brazilian Portuguese, can be found on Capcom Brasil’s official YouTube channel.

This adaptation allows the creature to slide smoothly across the ice to attack its prey, in addition to exhaling the ice powerfully. The Magma Almudroon, on the other hand, prefers the intense heat of lava caves and boosts its attacks with molten stone to overwhelm any would-be hunter.

All of these monsters are capable of bringing hunters to their knees, but Elder Dragon Malzeno has the ability to make entire kingdoms bow down. Malzeno commands a mysterious swarm of parasites that capture and absorb the energy of their victims.

In direct combat, the Elder Dragon attacks with elegance and ferocity worthy of the creature that inspired it: the vampire. Once he leaves the victim with the Blood Plague condition, they both begin a duel to determine who will drain the life energy first. If the hunter fails, Malzeno transforms into an even more terrifying form to wreak havoc on the surviving enemies.

To counter these destructive forces, hunters arriving at Elgado Post will have to find new ways to fight. While Kamura Village is known for its unique Cabinsect techniques, including Ironsilk Assaults and Wyrm Mount, hunters summoned to the Realm will learn new Trade Skills in addition to the new Trade Skill Change Technique.

This new mechanic allows hunters to assign skill sharing to two different gears, which can be switched in real time while hunting. The added flexibility to choose which skills are best for any given situation allows the experienced hunter to overcome almost any obstacle.

When receiving attacks during a trade skill change, hunters can perform a trade dodge in any direction to avoid danger or change their position and continue the attack. Hunters wishing to learn more about the new trading abilities for each of the 14 weapon types should check out Capcom Brasil’s social channels starting May 16 to watch a series of short videos dedicated to each weapon.

Monster Hunter Rise: Dawn also introduces players to new ways to connect with adorable characters through new companion quests. These solo hunts allow you to complete quests with the help of your favorite characters from the story. Each Follower has a specialization and can even assist players by restoring their health, setting traps, and even riding creatures to turn the tide of battle.

Post Elgado members such as Fiorein, Lucica, Jay, Admiral Galleus, and Master Arlow are available as followers, in addition to Kamura Village members such as Hinoa and Minoto. Players will be able to unlock followers as they progress through the story, as well as unlock exclusive rewards by completing follower quests.
