GL Events, one of the largest event conglomerates in the world, will host its first 100% event in Metaverso. While companies are still discussing hybrid or remote work formats, Welcome Tomorrow, a platform focused on the future of mobility created at GL events, is promoting “WTW Connect – the future of work in the Metaverse.” The event is free and takes place in virtual reality, tomorrow at 17:00. To participate, simply visit the website.
Flavio Tavares, founder of Welcome Tomorrow, explains that the concept of the Metaverse is simpler than it looks: “It’s augmented reality in a virtual environment. In other words, it reproduces the real world in a 100% digital environment, leading to the creation of 3D spaces on the web that mimic real spaces, expanding human interaction into the virtual world in a more realistic way,” he clarifies.

The event will discuss how the Metaverse can revolutionize how, where and how we work. “Let’s talk about endless offices, new work relationships, new needs that bring new skills and even jobs. Our goal is to bring the public closer to this topic, which will be discussed more and more often,” comments Flavio.
Participants will be able to understand how the Metaverse works in practice. To access the event, it will be possible to create an avatar and navigate it in all event environments available in virtual reality. Will even happy hour at the end with direct interaction between avatars that can, for example, speak: a person uses the microphone of the device they are accessing and the sound will come out through the avatar, creating a real-time interaction.
“WTW Connect – The Future of Work in the Metaverse” begins with a lecture given by Flavio himself on “work will change, and so will you.” Then there is a discussion on the topic “New office: remote, hybrid or in the Metaverse?” and the participation of Roberta Vasconcellos, CEO and co-founder of BeerOrCoffee; Pedro Vasconcelos, co-founder of BeerOrCoffee, Marcelo Pivovar, CTO of Oracle; Giuliana Naasimento, Development Director of Grupo Cia de Talentos; and Gian Sperati, CHRO at Gupy. Flavio and Karina Constancio, Head of Content at Welcome Tomorrow, concluded the meeting with a talk about the new Welcome Tomorrow movement in 2022.
