The wait will be especially long for World of Warcraft fans hoping to set foot in the Dragonflight Dragon Islands expansion with more than the average player. Almost two months after Alpha, Blizzard has officially launched the open beta of the MMORPG’s ninth expansion. Starting Thursday, September 1, 2022, it’s already offering a wide variety of new testers to explore the start of the expansion’s content.
How do you know if you have been selected for the Dragonflight beta?
To ensure your account is selected (or not selected) for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Beta, go to your Battle.net launcher and restart if it was activated before September 1, 2022. In the World of Warcraft section (recognizable to the small yellow W logo at the top), open the drop-down menu under “Game version and account”.
If you were selected to participate in the Dragonflight beta, a line titled “Dragonflight Beast” should appear. Just log in and do whatever you want, all for free of course! If this statement does not appear in your account, we regret to inform you that you must be patient and hope that you will receive it in the days and weeks to come.
