This summer, normalcy is returning after two years of pandemics, and with it symbolic personal events such as DreamHack Valencia, one of Spain’s most important LANs, where video games, esports, new technologies and other forms of entertainment are combined.
On this occasion, the event will take place at the Valencia Fair from July 1-3, and according to the organization, the economic impact on the capital of Turia will exceed 10 million euros, creating more than 170 new jobs to host the event.
In fact, according to DreamHack, the last in-person event in Valencia created 168 jobs with a direct impact of €3.2 million in hospitality and transportation, with an average cost of €187.64 per attendee, for a total of €4.45 million spent. 2019 and creates an indirect impact of 9 million Euros.
Also, DreamHack Valencia’s goal is to continue growing in the number of participants. In their last edition they went from 10,000 visitors to 65,000 in 10 years and this year they want to increase that number to 75,000 visitors.
