Apex Legends: Savior is the thirteenth season of Battle Royale, and Respawn has decided to return to Storm Point with new changes. The island was attacked by a huge sea creature that changed the island in more ways than one. With its mere presence and seismic activity, IMC Armor has appeared on the map, giving players a new way to earn loot.
And after the legends united and destroyed the monsters, it became a POI. Just like in King Canyon, ecological cleanliness and awareness of danger have come to the island to get rid of the creatures, but it will take time. Instead, the game will continue even on the huge coast of the Dead Sea. This new POI will have high levels of loot with three tight corners: North Pad, Checkpoint, and The Mill. ECHO will have looted one of the many buildings and platforms, but most mobs will be inside.
In addition to the new POIs, Respawn has introduced a brand new system: IMC Armor. Described as “auxiliary combat structures”, these buildings were buried underground until the last creature attacked the island and an earthquake threat triggered their emergence. Players will have the option to explore them on a Storm Point map by choosing their high-risk, high-reward loot. As you approach the bunkers, the ramp will automatically let you in, and inside you’ll find valuable weapons and loot. Press the button and you will have to survive waves of Specter for 60 seconds.
If you’re worried about a third party, Respawn has a solution. When you activate the script, the doors will close and the ramp will close, protecting you from outside dangers. This should give players a chance to fight Ghosts without having to face enemy units. The longer you survive, the more loot drops, including a new style of loot called “smart loot”. This loot will serve up items that are missing from your loadout, such as certain add-ons and armor upgrades.
Respawn used finger data and audience feedback to continue validating its biggest cards. The focus was on different nature locations around the map or designing the area better around creatures, or even adding different terrain. This should make the map closer and more fun.
