We have prepared a guide for trainers who will be competing in the GO Battle League Retro Cup competition.

The next Alola GO Battle mid-season challenge of the Pokemon GO season has begun. From Tuesday, April 19 through Tuesday, April 26, 6:00 PM EST, Coaches will be able to participate in the Cup as long as they follow the rules. We have defined exactly what criteria are required to participate in the Cup, including the types of Pokémon that are not allowed and the CP limit.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Pokemon GO Retro Cup.

The Retro Cup is a unique type of competition in GO Battle League. Like other Custom Trophies, the Retro Trophy has a specific set of parameters that Coaches must meet in order to participate and compete. ენიThey are:

Legends can participate in the cup as long as they meet the above conditions.

As the name suggests, this trophy is designed for a number of original genres released with the early Pokemon games. Color, black, and steel were not included in early games and therefore not allowed in the retro cut.

Examples of dark types are Houndour, Weavile, and Darkrai. Steel types include Steelix, Lucario, and Skarmory. The Spectacular type restriction applies to all genres, including retroactively added genres such as Clefairy, Gardevoir, and Sylveon.
