How to catch Salandit and Salazzle in Pokemon GO

Salandit and Salazzle debuted in Pokemon GO during this month’s All-Hands Rocket Retreat event in April 2022.

Salandit and Salazzle are both poison and fire types that appear in the Alola region and are known as the “venomous lizard” Pokémon. Only female Salandis evolve into Salazzle, who then use their own unique pheromones to lure Saladis through harems to serve her. Typically, these salamanders guard their salamanders and bring them food, much like bees in a colony. There is a theory that the reason male salamanders naturally fail to thrive is malnutrition.

Salantite doesn’t get caught typing in the wild. Instead, Trainers will need to work on hatching 12 Mile Eggs to add this Pokemon to their PokeDex.

12 km Eggs can be found after defeating Team GO Managers Rocket Cliff, Arlo, and/or Sierra. After defeat, trainers will receive an egg which will be added to their bonus egg inventory at the bottom of the egg page.

Each 12-pound egg will add 16-32 assorted candies when hatching a Pokemon. Since Salazzle needs 50 candies from Salandit, trainers will need to hatch 4-2 12 km Eggs. There are three managers in Team GO Rocket, which means most trainers can develop at least one Saladin through a grid system without worrying about grinding sugar.

Salazl can only be obtained at this time through evolution. For more information on converting from Salandite to Salazzle, check out our Salazzle Evolution Guide.

DBLTAP cannot confirm if this Pokémon will participate in the Wild Meeting Pool.
