On the weekend of July 1-3, 2022, I was able to travel to Berlin to enjoy it. Pokémon GO Fest in physics. After two pushes online to offset the Covid-19 pandemic, we have to admit it was great to be back to in-person events at a large park. British Garden. Point by point, so I’d like to go over my kind of “tried for you” kind of experience so you can finally figure out if it’s worth moving on.
Pokémon GO Fest 2022 in Berlin: environment, park, organization
If you live in France, getting to Berlin is not that difficult. To get cheap plane tickets (less than €100 round trip), you have to plan a bit in advance and of course hope that the flights won’t be canceled. Depending on where you are going, you will probably need to book an Air BnB or hotel room the day before to fully enjoy the festival. Because yes, I’m celebrating here This is the first big problem of Pokémon GO Fest : The purchase of a ticket is only valid for one day, even if the event lasts three days. First of all, it allows you not to gather too many people in the same day (and it’s a good point for your health), but frankly, it allows you to catch all the Pokémon, to do raids, to complete special quests, visiting the park, and everything related to it. On-site activity takes a long time. In one day, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (or 11 a.m. for standard tickets), you really have to hurry and be well organized If you came to catch as many rare or shiny creatures as possible.
at least it is Probably the best Pokemon GO Fest I’ve ever done From Yokohama and Dortmund. Of course, I haven’t tried them all, but the huge Berlin park offers enough space for all trainers, drinking water points to cool off, and above all shaded areas to protect yourself from the sun. Walking the trails for hours was a real pleasure, and an important note: mesh antennas were installed almost everywhere. no connection problem on players’ smartphones.
If you want to go to Pokémon GO Fest, know that Saturday is always the busiest. Friday the installation was barely finished, and Sunday the park was almost empty: it’s up to you to see if you want it. Be in the giant photo Saturday or if you want to enjoy the park without too many people.
There are numerous restaurants and street food trucks on-site, as well as lockers to store your belongings, portable toilets, chairs, and more loungers for lounging. If you come with young children, of course, it is possible to enjoy mobile game related activities such as live draws or movement games. Main picture with Pikachu and Evol. You can come and see your favorite designers in a dedicated corner.
Pokémon GO Fest in Berlin: gameplay, creatures
If you’re coming to Pokémon GO Fest just to catch and trade Pokémon, then you’ll be served. The purpose of this event is make private exchanges Get regional Pokémon throughout the day like Tropius, Pachirisu, Cryptero, and even Frison. By bringing some Trucellins (exclusive to France) you are sure to exchange them for other rare creatures. There are three things I particularly like about Britzer Garden:
- Flamajou, Flotajou and Flotoutan lay monkeys,
- single spawn Unknown every hour for 2 minutes (with an increased chance of glow),
- Rotom Mower appearing in photobomb
sure, Custom Snorlax with cowboy hat There was also a can’t-miss special event, but most of the Pokemon selected for the event were known for their increased spawn rate.
The main objective was to complete Rhi’s special job in several stages to receive many rewards and meet Earthly Shaymin. On the raid side, the focus was mostly on Cresselia and Darkrais, who were both brilliant.
So what makes GO Fest different from Safari Zone? The special quest is much longer and richer in rewards, there are many ground activities, bigger active bonuses as well as more creatures and of course composition in 4 very different biomes with ground decorations. Especially on the Electric Garden side, we were able to catch Hisui Voltorbs, Apitrin, Trompinion, Galvaran and more. For Côte Venteuse, it was an opportunity to catch barpaw, coquipearl, Mamanbo, Flotajou and more. In the vibrant countryside, we can hope to photograph Galar’s brilliant ponyta, jumping, daylef, and even scorching. And then in the Molten Rock biome, the famous Snorlax in a cowboy hat, Flamajour, Kranidos, Darumarond, Nodulithe and others were mostly possible.
But I hope we will soon have a Safari Zone in France!
Pokémon GO Fest Berlin in numbers
After the event, Niantic made an official statement to reveal some numbers:
- Over 14,000,000 Pokemon were caught during the three-day event,
- More than 303,000 kilometers traveled (hello bulbs),
- The sneakers available on Friday were the first in the world to meet Flamajou and Trompignon in their chromatic versions, as well as to cross paths with the ultra-chimera Kankrelove and Shaymin Terrestre.
If you didn’t attend GO Fest Berlin and traveled to, for example, Seattle, don’t forget that there is another global event online on August 27!
To finish, Pokémon GO Fest events in physics are kind of the ultimate destination for any fan of the mobile game. In addition to being a great way to meet other trainers and exchange regional creatures with them, it is above all an opportunity to catch a surprising number of rare, shiny and legendary Pokémon such as the exclusive Snorlax or Unowns . Although it’s too intense to do it all in one day, the experience is even better, and the in-game shock when you get home is quite brutal: Say goodbye to on-screen confetti, dozens of rare Pokémon around and always-sold 20-man Pokemon raids. I agree that with a minimum of 25 euros per day (11:00 – 18:00) for a regular ticket it may seem a bit expensive. But it must be understood that this price includes not only the game in Pokémon GO, but also, and above all, various services offered on site in the park.
