We’ve put together a short guide for trainers trying to convert their Porygon2 to Porgemon-Z in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Porigon has always been an alien species of Pokémon. This Pokémon was created entirely from computer code that came to life – although the language is unknown. As such, all sorts of objects can cause this species to change shape and form. For example, it was developed in Porygon2 using an upgrade disc. This does not mean that instructors should try to install outdated software.

Trainers can turn their Porygon2 into a Porygon-Z by revealing a suspicious disc. As an upgrade, this item is lowered into Porygon2’s body, transforming him into an unusual Porygon-Z.
A Dubious Disc is a futuristic item that can only be obtained by warping cosmic time or buying it directly through the mail. Trainers looking for additional information on how to obtain this item should read our upgradable item guide.
The suspect disk is a silver CD-ROM enclosed in a transparent magenta-colored plastic box. It “transfers with questionable data” and has an unknown manufacturer. Eventually, detecting this item in Porygon2 will result in a mixed result as it constantly causes the Pokemon’s code to break.
Alongside Porygon-Z, the “virtual Pokémon” now have greater offensive abilities and the ability to move between dimensions – which is how this species ended up on Hisui. However, her transformation led to some unorthodox behavior on her part. Experts still differ on whether this Pokemon is considered a true evolution and not a mutation. Hisuian PokeDex number #135.
