On Friday, Amazon Games released a developer blog post to address the bot issue in Lost Ark.
On March 4, more than a million illegitimate accounts for running bots were banned forever – a move aimed at “major impact”. That said, and with the many other changes Amazon Games has made over the past few months (e.g. closed tier-level threads, changed quest and event reward structures, VPN blocking), it is clear that dating remains a serious problem. In Amazon Games’ May 13 blog post, “Since the day the missing ship was launched,” “We’ve been fighting the bots that invade archery. Implementing bots can be tricky, especially in free games because they are so easy to make. Score and get in the game, but we are working on multiple fronts to combat them.

Amazon Games also accepted offers from the public to add tools like Captcha or two-factor authentication, but explained that their implementation “requires major platform and architectural changes”.
Lost Ark is a prime target for bots, hackers, or gold dealers for many reasons.
Lost Ark had a game with both free and real money (RMT) elements that made it easy to create and value accounts.
While Lost Ark continues to have a massive player base, there are plenty of potential buyers and abusers in the favorable environment.
The Lost Chest remains incredibly sophisticated, which means there are endless things to sell, including all accounts.
