There are several ways to fix the “Failed to get SIPT platform” error message.
First, you need to check the service disconnect. You can check the service status on the Riot Games website. When you access the website, select your region and language and you will be able to see if there are any existing or new server errors.
If there is no service interruption issue and you are still having problems, the next step is to reset your router and modem. Sometimes problems can occur if you do not restart the router and modem for a while.
If restarting your router and modem doesn’t fix the problem, League of Legends may have been blocked by your firewall. If so, go to “System and Security” in Control Panel and click on Windows Defender Firewall settings. You want to make sure both the Private and Public boxes are checked for the League of Legends launcher.
If you have tried all of these methods and still getting the same error, you may need to change your DNS server settings in Windows 10. AFKGaming has a detailed guide on how to change your DNS server settings.
