The Magic: The Gathering and Fortnite crossover, Secret Lair X Fortnite has released new card designs to various stores and creators. The official release date for this crossover has yet to be officially confirmed, but IGN has released high-res photos of all of the new maps.
This Magic: The Gathering crossover is just one of many games Wizards of the Coast has recently introduced to the popular card game. In addition to the Fortnite collaboration, Wizards also announced collaborations with Street Fighter, Warhammer 40,000, and Lord of the Rings at Magic Showcase 2021. They’ve already handled transitions with other major franchises like Baldur’s Gate and Dungeons and Dragons.

Fortnite is also no stranger to collaborations, working with everyone from Naruto to the NFL since the game launched in early access in 2017. This collaboration is quite unique for Epic Games as it involves the use of assets Fortnite in Magic: The Gathering, not the other way around. Despite its popularity as a transitional environment, Fortnite has managed to transform its characters and features into memorable designs like Battle Bus and The Storm.
Currently, non-Magic: The Gathering content has been added to Fortnite.
