FIFA 22 Shapeshifters Promo Announcement

FIFA 22 Shapeshifters has become the next action team of the season after EA Sports confirmed the game via a splash screen.

First appearing in FIFA 20, Shapeshifters is a campaign focused on changing locations and boosting stats. Shapeshifters were created before the Season Suit in FIFA 20, but this time it’s the first summer action since TOTS. It’s an odd choice given that fans are looking forward to a summer promo and FUTTIES. But maybe it’s just a buffer between TOTS and those high-end events.

Shapeshifters should include the two players leaving Team of the Season and include substantial reinforcements to keep them relevant at this point in the game cycle. Location changes are always welcome as they explain the possibilities of creating a squad.

But no matter how much high-level endgame cards are available after TOTS, those items need to be in the proper meta. And EA Sports should continue to innovate when it comes to rewards. One of the initiatives leaked by Fut Sheriff and already added to the game is Daily SBC, which rewards players with a guaranteed Shapeshifter item if players complete each challenge. A fun login request for those who still play the game.
