As a potential reveal of Godzilla in Vanguard and the new Treyarch zombie mode announced on Thursday, Call of Duty now seems to be progressing more fantastically.
But according to a new post from Treyarch, the traditional turn-based game mode seems to be taking a new direction, with many new modes coming into play alongside the continuation of the old storyline.
Projects we are working on:
• Maps based on rounds #avant-garde zombies
• Newly rated Google Play seasons and rewards
• Jungle Remaster in BOCW MP
• A new secret in BOCW Zombies?
• Deployment and attack updates
• New weapons and packs for BOCW and Warzone

In a new post on Treyarch’s website saying they’re excited about zombies running in the right mod to add Vanguard, it looks like the studio is going back to its roots, although it’s still trying to take the mod in a new direction.
“We’re very excited about this classic-style game for cutting-edge players,” Treyarch said in the post, “we want to anticipate that it will take some time to catch up.”
Overall, the studio says it’s working on expanding game systems, adding new Pathfinding AI, fast-paced mechanics, and generally polishing it up to make it a worthy sequel to its successors.
The new mode follows the Dark Aether storyline, which might be the closest gamers get to Call of Duty: Lovecraft.
Currently, the studio is doing its best to work on the new remastered map of Shi No Numa, which will be released after the official end of Season 3. In addition, Treyarch has promised many seasonal challenges, new weapons and other improvements quality of life in upgrades.
