Screenwriter Eric Walpaw from Valve told in the Kiwi Talkz podcast what he would like to create Portal 3. “We are not young, and we are approaching the point where we will be too old to do the third part. So we have to do it now,” he said.
Subsequently, the author of scripts for such games as Half life 2 and Half-life of Alyx, left 4 Dead or Psychonauts he explained why the continuation of the popular FPS logic didn’t look very promising: “Valve has 300 employees, and I don’t know exactly how many of them are developers. Taking 75 people and trying to create a game is expensive. While it often feels like Valve is just a bunch of people sitting around drinking gin and tonics by the pool, they all work.”
Walpaw does not deny that Portal 3 will undoubtedly be a profitable project for Valve. “We would make. But how much? Maybe as much as Counter Strike: GO?
