Activison’s choice of map rotation in Call of Duty: Warzone irritated many fans of the series as it prevented them from playing their favorite maps, especially the popular Rebirth Island. On Friday, it was announced that Rebirth Island would return in quad-only mode, leading many players to wonder how long they’ll have to experience Rebirth Island with their friends.
While Cladera and Fortune’s Keep provide players with all the usual Warzone mods, Rebirth Island is trapped as a limited-time mode that can only be played in four respawns, a mode with no Gulags to get a second chance at life. Instead, players will be able to return as long as one of their teams is alive.

Rebirth Island will only be able to hire players for a four-month game mode from September 9-11, and will be officially offline on September 12.
While this decision will upset many players who have been waiting for Island of Rebirth on traditional Warzone routes, it’s the only way to experience the island for now.
