Our Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 weapons list is here to determine which weapons will be best used in Caldera, Fortune’s Keep, and Rebirth Island with the release of Raven Software’s latest major balancing update.

With the Season 5 patch, not only did we get a brand new EX1 Assault Rifle, RA 225 SMG, and some major changes to various options, but the Vanguard variable meta scopes were also significantly reduced. So here is a breakdown of how to collect weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5.

These S-rank variants make up the Warzone weapon meta progression. After the KG M40, STG44, Cooper Carbine and SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x optic nerfs, the Grau 5.56 stole the show early on. However, next to that, the main AR option is Automaton, which displays the list so you don’t get nervous. For sniper support, don’t overlook the Volk, which should be an ideal option for emerging snipers. For now, the all-new EX1 Laser Rifle works here as well, as long as players are using the correct barrel and not trying to outrun others at extreme range. The RA 225 works here too, pairing the latest Vanguard SMG with the full package. In the end, after being at the undisputed top for a while, Marco 5, Armaguerra 43, and H4 Blixen found themselves past the S-tier slot as each took heavy nerfs for the bump and recoil. Perhaps the biggest winner of the Season 5 launch is the SVT-40, which is already a TTK beast but recently became viable instead thanks to Assault Rifle ammo.

There are several variations of Tier A that are well suited for use in Warzone and generally remain very balanced. Essentially, these options aren’t part of the base meta, but can still get the job done and keep you competitive. The Vargo-S, spun off from the all-explosive Vargo-S, BAR, and Groza, is the only AR that has the potential to be standout in the future. Likewise, the UGR, Fennec, and M1912 had a great time, but for the most part they should stay the same.

B-level

These B-rank weapons remain viable in the Season 4 reboot, but they could all use some motivation to get more players to seriously consider mastering them. Overall, these weapons are fine, but they lack anything that sets them apart as fun or interesting options. Many of them are still very popular, but statistically not as good as the guns above. Hoping that their new fans will at least keep them afloat, the P90 and Striker 45 have been updated for the first time in a long time.

Tier C contains weapons that can be used to really power up in Warzone. Take a look at the list of options here, there are no inspirational names worthy of custom loadouts. The new Valois revolver is placed here because so far nothing is worth writing about.

At this point in the tier list, this weapon has no place in the meta. Although this higher level allows players to kill one or two, it gets pretty scary at the end of the list.
