Our Warzone SMG tier list for August 2022 is here to help you figure out which weapons are the best to use, as the new meta has been revamped slightly following the launch of Raven Software’s latest balancing update.
Since the first patch of Season 4 Reloaded, Warzone players have quickly seen a few nerfs and buffs. So here’s how SMGs stack up in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded in August 2022.

Layers
Tier S has eight SMGs that are expected to remain elite in Season 4 Reloaded. After all, the only “broken” option at the moment would probably be Marco 5. Marco 5, Armaguerra 43, and H4 Blixen each received minor nerfs, but they should stay close in rank. Meanwhile, the Type 100, Sten, MP-40, Black Ops Cold War MP5, and Welgun still result in high K/D ratios for those who use them, so feel free to move on.
Arrange
In Tier A, 15 SMGs are still very viable and generally still very balanced for use in Warzone. Essentially, these options aren’t part of the main meta, but can still get the job done and keep you competitive.
B-level
There are a few SMGs that remain intact at B rank but could still use a few buffs to get more players to seriously consider using them. These options have proven themselves, but there will be nothing to write home about a war zone in the Pacific era.
layer C
Whether it’s a melee or sniper support option, C-rank SMGs stay in the pack for a long time and aren’t close to taking their place in the meta.
