The third season of Call of Duty: Vanguard features the first shotgun added to the game since November of last year.
The shotgun is “a semi-automatic rifle with a lethal combination of power and rate of fire”. Activision also noted that the M1916 is “capable of firing box-style shots that offer a wide variety of two-shot kills in multiplayer until attachments are factored in.”

There are two ways to unlock a new rifle. Players must play Vanguard or Warzone and upgrade their Level 15 Battle Pass to unlock the Shotgun. Players can also choose to purchase a second version of the battle pass, which includes 25 tiers of unlocks.
With the end of the third season, players were added to the in-game challenge to unlock the weapon.
M1916: Perform 10 single shots per kill 15 times in a single match to unlock the Marksman Rifle.
To complete this challenge effectively, we recommend completing the challenge in multiplayer and on small maps to get close kills with weapons.
