It seems like only a matter of time before Call of Duty returns to Valve’s storefront.
On Thursday, Activision and Infinity Ward released the latest promotional release for the highly anticipated Modern Warfare 2 house series. Along with getting the global release date from the COD community and energetic livestream trailer, Steam also released a amazing teaser.

Twenty minutes after Call of Duty was announced, the official Steam Twitter account, Quote, posted it and added the very clear Eyes Emoji.
While this isn’t an official announcement, after all Activision and Infinity Ward have yet to mention Steam in their ad campaigns, it’s certainly as close as it gets.
This comes after a leak in which Eagle Eye Redditor noticed work for MW2, which will appear on Steam’s Black Ops 3 page on May 29. The image was quickly removed from Steam and replaced with a blank image, further fueling the rumours.
Separating the Call of Duty series from the Battle.net special will be a very popular decision in the eyes of the computing community. The last Call of Duty games to release on Steam were WWII and Modern Warfare Remastered in 2017.
With the new MW2 released on Steam, PC gamers will be able to play multiple games together in a single library, simplifying the refund process if needed, and it will track player counts. Title, Apex Legends and Lost Ark.
For those of you who are Battle.net fans, MW2 will undoubtedly be here anyway, as trailers for upcoming games are available both on the website and on PC.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28.
