It’s common for a weapon, machine, or even piece of equipment to collide with a nerve hammer when it comes to its impact on gameplay, but it’s rare for Operator cosmetics to cause such great controversy. But it was fate that struck Rose’s infamous skin, meaning her skill in the dark corners of the map combined with her frustration in battling against it.

Rosie was the cameraman who showed up in Season 5, and it got a lot of hate for how she puts her skin on a basemap exactly if you lean into a shady corner. Dressed in an all-black costume and terribly outgoing mask, Rosie, ironically, was a huge nervous target due to her edgy nature.
It may have taken a while, but Activision has finally come to blows with their recent patch notes, which say they’ve boosted skin radiance by 70% to help stand out from the shadow. Although this is a really strange nerf, it indirectly shows how important the respective game can play in the development of the game.
