With Infinity Ward Modern Warfare 2 set to reboot later this year, unsurprisingly, fans of the Call of Duty franchise have already turned their attention to the new disc leak and rumors.
Starting with the rumored “DMZ” game mode, promising multiplayer gameplay, and a variety of design options, MW2 2022 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting COD games ever. Here are the first three maps of OG Modern Warfare 2 (2009) that we want to restore to its glory this fall.

Before we make the list, according to a recent report by famed gaming insider Tom Henderson for eXputer, here are four fan-favorite maps from the original MW2 2009, not just for the new title, but for the Warzone 2 map itself:
So, assuming these four cards are already working, here are three we want to prove.
Even though it just returned with Modern Warfare (2019), you have to bring Rust back to the new MW2. Quite possibly the most iconic first-person 1v1 map of all time, Rust provides the backdrop for Golden Days PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. While not the best setting for true competitive play, Rust is one of the all-time favorite maps in Call of Duty history.
One of the most unique Call of Duty maps of all time, Estate has been MIA since the release of the original MW2 in 2009. This map had insane verticality with good open spaces and a large cabin set up for intense combat.
Invasion is set to return in MW2 2022. Infinity Ward disrupted the map at MW 2019 as fans searched for an Invasion motive hidden in the background. Spin one of the best maps in Capture the Flag mode.
