Some Call of Duty (CoD) players are still finding broken sound boxes in Warzone Season 3 last season.
CoD: Warzone has become something of a warning story for bugs and rogues. While Activision has done its best to address these issues with software like Ricochet Anti-Cheat, it has done little to mitigate the annoying, repetitive, and potentially game-breaking bugs that gamers have discovered over the years. .
According to one of the posts on the official Warzone subreddit, the worst of them could be audio-related gameplay issues.
As user VonBurglestein wrote in a post on the game’s subreddit, “Battle Royals game won’t work if sound doesn’t work.”
VonBurglestein explains how important audio performance is for gaming, in his caption explaining how surprised users are that more gamers have nothing to say about the aforementioned issue. Audio is used in a variety of situations to inform strategy games, including when and how enemies are approaching a particular location. They highlight “steps” to illustrate the problem.
“When people push you and you don’t get any sound footage (even when you’re so tightly controlling the shot to replay), the game falls apart. This happens very often. They wrote.
Other players quickly agreed, writing their own stories and opinions to reflect Vonburghstein’s views in the responses. Some have used this issue to make the case for Fortnite’s enforced greater reach, a component of a similar type of visual cue insertion.
Some said the reason they stopped making noise was that people who hadn’t heard since the game started “just gave up”. That’s not to say they aren’t surprised how long the problem has been going on.
Warzone was the first CoD game I played in over a decade, and this time I was only playing Battlefield games. Going into Warzone from BF1 and BFV was a very noticeable drop in sound quality and direction. User ThatNeonZebraAgain wrote, “How does this popular game sound so bad?” I remember thinking.
At the time of writing, DBLTAP has not been able to confirm the date or estimated time of Raven Software’s sound review. Updates and fixes made by the studio are available on Trello.
