In the 13th season of Apex Legends, many changes in different legends are expected to maintain the competitive balance of the game. It is important for Respawn Entertainment to keep an eye out for characters with issues that become stronger in their game and make the game almost impossible.
What the developers have already pointed out, or just the information that famous data miners have leaked, here are the rumors of legend lovers and nerfs that may be coming to Apex Legends in Season 13.

Rampart improvements for Amped Cover on unfinished and currently out of game files:
Building initial health: 40 -> 120
Upper arm shield expansion delay: 0.25 -> 0.10
Duration of previous armor cast: 0.5 -> 0.3
Deployment delay: 0.5 -> 0.3– Shoulders (@shrugtal) April 1, 2022
As detailed in April, prolific Apex Legends data miner Shrugtal found numerous clumps for Rampart in the game’s files, suggesting that Respawn Entertainment has big plans to kickstart character select speeds. The buffs relate to Rampart’s Amped Cover ability, which has since been improved:
It’s unclear why Respawn is holding these fans back or forcing them directly into the game. If these fans are going to stream, chances are they’ll reveal Apex Legends in Season 13, which is set to launch in early May to mid-May.
Pathfinder Passive Recycling
Players in the Apex Legends community have been requesting changes to Pathfinder’s pass over the past few seasons. Live Balance designer John Larson said in an interview with Dexerto that the team was open to retraining Pathfinder’s passive, but didn’t want to give him “straight up fun”.
It’s unclear how soon the developers will begin the remake process as Pathfinder is one of the most popular Legends in the game, but we’ll likely see some changes in Season 13.
Gibraltar recycling
Despite only 3.2% of the total vote, Gibraltar NA showed 100% participation in the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Pro League Split 1 Qualifiers, prompting players to continue their call for Shielded Fortress to get nerves.
Just in season 9, Respawn’s live balance designer John Larson spoke about the awkwardness of dealing with these dynamics and how Gibbs was nervous about the pros, making things worse in the public eye.
“When we think, ‘We should do Gibby’s niece,’ it’s kind of scary because for most players, we don’t want to limit the pace of that pick,” Larson said. So that’s a question. How can we make it a more sexual choice without using excessive force?
“I want to think of something that could complement him, maybe give him a bit more selfish power or just make him sexier.”
Finally, at the end of Season 13, it could be when we make major changes to the Gibraltar Defense Dome.
Look for meta changes
In a patch for the Raiders Collection event, Respawn said it will evaluate which Legends get scanned or “reveal meta” and try to replace them over time.
Some characters like Bloodhound remain incredibly powerful, while others like Seer have very low pick rates. It’s clear the developers wanted to fix this without upsetting the overall balance of the game, so expect Seer to have some fans in Season 13.
