The Apex Legends Season 13 excitement cycle is officially underway, as more information about future content continues to flow in and out of the game.
Over the past few weeks, the Apex community has been inundated with leaks potentially revealing everything from Storm Point to Titanfall 2’s content transition bringing major changes to points of interest. On Thursday, Respawn Entertainment dropped a few new cakes on Control LTM, which officially kicked off the teaser season. (Of course, potential spoilers are snakes.)
At the time of writing, players downloading Control will be presented with a screen with holographic display panels that resemble the silhouette of a future legend.
A week ago, amid a huge storm of leaks that likely included nine future legends, five or more weapons, and new information, one of the most likely characters from the future now seems to fit into a teaser recently published: Newcastle, a defensive level character. Whose team revolves around protecting allies from fire and reviving teammates in safe positions:
“The wait is over, here it is,” reads the game’s billboard. It’s spinning in circles.
According to Apex’s statement on Twitter, ThordanSmash appears to be not only Newcastle’s official debut in the game, but also Bangalore’s sibling.
In the Korean version of the Jackson Bow Challenge story event, the captions clearly include Newcastle’s name, although Bangalore calls them Jackson.
We go there in case there is any doubt that Newcastle is Jackson. They have been known in Korea for a long time. Someone blamed Apex Legends. also @Biast12 Now you give me soda. pic.twitter.com/TfynDwJqSu

If Newcastle really is Jackson, Respawn seems to be playing a bit of 4D chess given that they released Stories from the Outlands: Gridiron, a video about Bangalore and his sibling in January.
Finally, as with all leaks, take this information with a grain of salt – it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
