Apex Legends Developer Responds To Comments On First Round Changes

Apex Legends developer Josh Medina asked players for feedback on the changes made during the final launch of Season 14. Some players mentioned map changes this season, such as the removal of Olympus and the addition of a new legend, Vantage.

The biggest controversy, however, was based on recent storm changes. Starting in Season 14, Ring 1 now closes faster and deals more damage if you are outside the ring. The idea behind this app is to make it harder for players to camp outside the ring and force them to enter and interact with other players.

However, the players are worried about the latest half-time changes. Many find the change too burdensome for those who stay outside the circle too long, or even spawn near the edges of the map.

Josh Medina responded to one of those comments criticizing flat-shifting and simply said, “An interesting look at flat-shifting.” It’s clear that developers are aware of player complaints, but acting on those complaints is another matter altogether.

Any changes to the ring will likely take time to implement as the developers will want to wait and see if players will positively adapt to the change or if it will be perceived as constantly offensive to new and old players.
