Elden Ring is undoubtedly one of the biggest games of the year. And apparently, it is not only in the eyes of journalists, but also the players. According to reports from Gamebiz magazine, the game sold over 16.6 million copies in just six months, and the company earned 40.5 trillion yen from sales. If this continues, it could very well be that this game will eclipse the Dark Souls series, which has produced 27 million copies to date, while Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice considers a good 5 million copies to be its main milestone.
In the case of Elden Ring, one can probably expect it to top 17 million by the end of the year and possibly start attacking other milestones. The upcoming DLC, in an as-yet-unknown form, could help him a lot. But with a name like that, additional packages are almost inevitable.
What about you? Do you already have Elden Ring at home?
