The Apex Legends player made a pretty intuitive suggestion to help console players use survival items. In the history of the game, survival items are relatively new and provide special bonuses in unique situations. One of the most important is the heat shield.
Here are the stats for the survival element.
Stackable up to 2 heat shields in survival slot.
Inside the ring, the heat shield does nothing. If the ring is not touched for 45 seconds, it will disappear.
Shield starts at 100%; When ring damage is absorbed, it takes damage every 1.5 seconds. The amount depends on the visit.
But for console gamers, using it is quite boring because you have to use the same button as the controller. Basically it stayed on the D-pad. Then Redditor IFlanxI came up with the idea to put the backup items in the quick access menu. This will fix all the issues and you will only need one hot button for the item. It will stick when you need a heat shield at the last possible second.
And as one Redditor put it, “I’m so surprised I haven’t seen this idea before. That’s good.”
