Apex Legends plans to reward players who spend the most time in the game with a new set of rewards. These rewards come with an increase in the current level cap from 500 to 2000.
As Apex Legends designer Aaron Rutledge points out, leveling up doesn’t mean you have to level up,
“So in Season 14, we’ll be increasing the level cap by adding three more overhauls to 1-500.”
This means that once you pass level 500, you’re essentially back to level one, but you’ll now get a badge indicating that you’ve progressed through that cycle.
The real benefit to players of this increased level cap is the much larger rewards. Apex Packs arrive every time you level up, so players can earn tons of new rewards just by playing.

Players will not only be able to claim more free Apex Packs, but also access more Legacy. Heirlooms are rare items in Apex Legends that change the appearance of your weapons.
Previously, players could only earn one free treasure upon reaching level 500. Now, players get an heirloom after getting the 500th Apex Pack. In total, the new level cap will give players 544 new Apex Packs, so players can unlock a new Legacy for free just by leveling up.
Of course, clearing all those levels won’t be easy, but increasing the level cap opens up new ways to earn rewards for players who don’t want to spend money on a free game. It will also allow players to show off how much time and skill they have invested in the popular Battle Royale released in 2019.
