Along with being one of the most decorated contenders on the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) stage, TSM’s Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen has long been one of the most outspoken when it comes to competitive honesty.
The self-proclaimed CEO of Apex’s fan-favorite features once again proved his mettle this past weekend, refusing to kill an opponent who appeared to be shut down in the support phase of the $2M ALGS Year 2 Championship.
sportsmanship @ImperialHal
It was an important moment for my eyes.I actually don’t really know the rules and regulations of competitive level games, it’s something new. #ApexLegends.@TSM #ALGS #TSMWIN pic.twitter.com/2Own2lxGjK

“Wait, I heard someone,” ImperialHal said in the clip. “I thought that man had fallen!” Don’t shoot, don’t shoot, bro, it’s down.”
Without hesitation, TSM IGL told teammates Jordan “Rap” Wolf and Evan “Verhulst” Verhulst to quit at one of the biggest moments in the sport.
“100% bounced or dropped or something like that,” ImperialHal said.
Shortly after their teammates saw the DC players flying, the TSM trio decided to land and return to a nearby building.
In the end, TSM and the technically cursed SCARZ team were lucky enough to advance to the finals where DarkZero would become the ALGS 2-Year-Old Champion.

Hours later, ImperialHal quickly tweeted Comment on in-game interactions“It’s the least a player can do about these things here.”
In a fierce competitive environment like Apex, it’s pretty unrealistic to see the level of athleticism on display in the game’s biggest tournament to date.
