Apex Legends players are asking Respawn to change Pathfinder’s temper after Valkyrie’s current state is deemed too problematic.
Pathfinder was one of the most popular legends in Apex Legends. His grapple ability gave him impressive maneuverability, low cooldowns, and repositioning that Respawn soon realized was too much. He did a major nerf which saw Pathfinder’s select rates drop significantly.
However, some players have pointed to a bit of hypocrisy thanks to Valkyrie’s current state. According to Reddit user u/LedClaptrix, everyone’s favorite Windy Legend has become such a popular choice, mainly because of its “basically unlimited ability to move an unlimited amount of moves.”
“In order for Valkyrie to remain unchanged in the game, Pathfinder needs to return to its former glory,” said the gamer, who posted his complaints on the Apex Legends subreddit.

The user continued, “It can be deployed an unlimited number of times in a single battle, albeit passively vertical. Isn’t that against the integrity of the movement they’re trying to implement with the Pathfinder nerf? It has a very strong tactical and meta-descriptive result.
Commentators are quick to jump in, with some immediately accepting it, while others remind the poster that Pathfinder has been hijacked in the past. “What a seeker needs is a simple buff to their ultimate ability, just a simple buff to speed or range will do them good.”

Until Nerf comes out, players will have to stick with a bit of OP Valkyrie for now.
