One of the Apex Legends players discovered that gravity bullets are used not only to dodge, but also to confuse enemy pursuers.
Gravity Cannons was definitely a popular and effective addition to Apex Legends Storm Point. Typically, players can use them to move the map to another location to play quickly to avoid danger or help a teammate. But that’s not all.
Reddit user lennonxxg posted about interacting with the notorious Gravity Cannon in Apex Rollouts which threw them back at an opponent and literally overpowered them.
In a video posted Friday, June 24, lennonxxg Stormcatcher showed the jump outside the POI. It’s actually quite easy to remove – as shown in the video.
As he was being chased by another player, lennonxxg sprinted full speed to the edge of the ball and straight into one of his arms, without actually landing. When they started firing as part of the throwing animation, the Gravity Cannon kicked them back towards the attacker. Normally it wouldn’t be intuitive, but the reaction of the ball sent them to another player.
From there, they managed to shoot down the opponent and get him out of the escape route.
While this trick isn’t the most popular in the books, it’s definitely satisfying to watch. Time will tell if he decides to take advantage of more players and surprise the competition more.
