A few days ago we saw the free royale vamp battle event. Vampire: The Masquerade – Blood Hunt installed in Prague. As is the case with other games taking place in the Czech capital or elsewhere in the country, local fans understandably pay attention to the authenticity of the environment and language localization. We now know that Czech – and I must say, relatively well-known – voices will also be heard in the game.
Thanks to Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, Prague is once again the scene of a new game. I was responsible for the voice acting of Czech characters, so in the game you will hear Marek Vashut, Klara Issova, Jirka Madel or me.
Unfortunately, the various Czech texts and inscriptions again went beyond our comprehension.— Filip Alet Zhenishek (@AletheiasCZ) April 29, 2022
Worked on dubbing Philip Zhenishek, which is also responsible for translating games from Ubisoft or the Polish CD Project Red. In addition to the author himself, you can hear for example Mark Vasuta, Clara Issova or Jiri Madel.
Filip Zhenishek notes that he only worked on dubbing and was not responsible for finding lyrics and inscriptions in fictional Prague. Already in last year’s early access, it was noticeable that the descriptions of signs or cars are not perfect and often contain spelling or logical errors. Unfortunately, according to the first observations, a complete correction did not occur.
It is also necessary to recall that, due to the specifics of the game, dubbing is more about random passers-by and scattered messages than long speeches. The game as a whole does not have Czech localization.
