Xbox studio wants to keep buying, or so the job offers say
Microsoft is looking for a professional who identifies opportunities and values upcoming acquisitions.

The practice of buying studios has become more and more common in the video game industry and microsoft emerged as the hero of major operations. It was Bethesda first, but a deal was announced earlier this year to acquire Activision Blizzard in an as-yet unfinished deal.
However, it seems that Xbox, a proposal published a few days ago and echoed by VGC, will not give up on Microsoft’s plans. The studio plans to continue acquiring. Specifically, they’re looking for a video game strategy and development director, but there’s more detail in their description.
They are looking for a director who develops and evaluates acquisitionsHe says the strategy team worked closely with the game team to “define and evaluate.” growth opportunitiesThose involved help address Microsoft Gaming’s business challenges, specifically citing Activision Blizzard, ZeniMax, or Double Fine. The director’s “identification and understanding of key industry dynamics” and “develop and evaluate purchases“, both video games and technology.
Microsoft’s strategy doesn’t have any more details, though doubts are mounting over whether the Xbox will be able to do this. To close or not to close Activision Blizzard’s acquisition operation, the company’s own shareholders have already approved the sale to Microsoft. This does not guarantee anything, as there are several revisions ahead to be able to categorically confirm the completion of the purchase.
