Ubisoft disables nearly 100 company games online, including some classics
Disabled online features of Assassin’s Creed 2, Far Cry 2 or Anno 1404.
Ubisoft The company recently announced the end of support for online and multiplayer functions for nearly a hundred video games, including the company’s great classics like Assassin’s Creed 2, Far Cry 2, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, and a long one.
The French company did not disclose the reason for its decision, but it is expected to be simply a sourcing concentration on more up-to-date products.
In this way, most of the brand’s video games have completely disabled disparate functions such as in-game news and player statistics, Units and Challenges for games using Ubisoft Connect services. “Rewards can be unlocked, but you won’t be able to get them in-game,” they elaborate in a shared statement.
This unlockable content (ULC) maps and skins are also disabled, meaning you cannot unlock them. ULCs will not be available on PC even if previously purchased.
