Sequel to the successful action adventure Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will not include older generation consoles and will only be released next year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Journalist Jeff Grubb of VentureBeat broke the news.
We don’t know the reason for the lack of PS4 and Xbox One, but we can assume that this is due to hardware limitations. The Respawn developers want to expand the possibilities, and the old generation consoles would tie their hands.
Grubb also claims that the game will be announced in Star Wars Celebration. The Star Wars Celebration runs from May 26-29 this year. However, according to the published program, the game should not be dedicated to a separate discussion panel.
We have already heard about Electronic Arts that this publisher is starting to target a new generation of consoles. This should be confirmed by Need for Speed and Dragon Age. EA’s only next-gen game that has been announced is the Dead Space remake, which will be released early next year.
