It’s no secret that Respawn Entertainment is currently working on a sequel to the successful 2019 Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

But now with behind-the-scenes information comes prominent journalist and insider Jeff Grubb, who told Giant Bomb magazine as part of his Grubbsnax show that The game will not be released until 2023. There have been recent speculations that the game could hit the market this year. But now it looks like Star Wars fans will have to wait until next year.

Grubb adds that the game, according to his sources, is currently created only for new generation consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S) and PC. It is said that the release for the latest generation of consoles is no longer planned. This move is not very surprising, especially for EA, which is releasing the game.

Some time ago it turned out that the release for older consoles is not worth waiting for other upcoming games from this publisher in the form of a new Need for Speed, a Dead Space remake or the upcoming Dragon Age. Finally, Grubb added that the game will have a different subtitle than Fallen Order.

Respawn Studio has been very busy lately. In addition to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developers confirmed work on two other Star Wars Universities games in January. According to the genre, it will be a first-person action and strategy game.
