The creators of Uncharted and The Last of Us are celebrating their 40th anniversary. Naughty Dog is ushering in a new era of story-driven games – INDIAN

American studio Naughty dog this year marks 40 years. Over the years, the small college duo of Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin have grown into a brand that defines generations of PlayStation gamers.

In honor of the round anniversary, the studio released special retrospective videowho not only reminisces about his glorious past, but also looks to the future, including the upcoming game. Intergalaxy: Heretic Prophet.

The footage shows the founders themselves, recalling the early years of the studio’s existence and how the enthusiasts who once created such modest games as Rings of Power or Way of the Warriorbecame the authors of such games as Crash Bandicoot whose Jack and Daxter. In their opinion, it was these brands that marked a fundamental turning point and propelled Naughty Dog into the ranks of the most prominent studios of its time.

The next part of the video is dedicated to the modern era of the studio – from unknown over The Last of Us for the upcoming project “Intergalactica: Heretic Prophet”. According to the company’s management, this should be the next step in the development of their work. Head of Operations Alison Morey said in retrospect:

“I believe Naughty Dog will continue to create exceptional games based on powerful stories and characters that explore the human experience.”

Jason Rubin added that he hopes to continue the studio’s tradition: “I want Naughty Dog to remain at the forefront of the entertainment industry. To create games that have depth, meaning and the highest quality possible.”

We still know little about Intergalactic itself. Neil Druckmann, the studio’s current head, called the game “the deepest gameplay they’ve ever made.” He also temporarily stepped away from production of The Last of Us series to work on it. However, the studio has not yet revealed a release date. But most likely this will be a new era for Naughty Dog. The studio that brought us to love Crash, discover lost civilizations with Nathan Drake, and fight for survival with Joel and Ellie is about to write the next chapter of its legend.
