The game also received a new release date.
I Hate This Place is an isometric survival horror game with bold comic book graphics and 80’s horror. The game is inspired by the award-winning comic book series created by Kyle Starks and Artem Topilin. Here you can enjoy bold colors and retro comic book style.
The plot takes place in a cursed country full of nightmares that distort reality. Here you will encounter very scary creatures that thrive in the dark. If you want to survive and get out of here, you’ll have to scavenge for supplies, craft useful items, sneak around, and most importantly, fight. However, sometimes using brute force can backfire, so you’ll have to distract monsters from the road or cleverly lure them into your deadly traps.
The title has made itself known thanks to a new plot preview, which will allow you to take a closer look not only at the plot of the game, but also at the gameplay elements themselves. However, at the same time as this demo, the creators from Rock Square Thunder published information that they still need time to make some adjustments. From the original date of November 7, 2025, the game’s release is being postponed to January 29, 2026. I Hate This Place will be released on PC (Steam, Epic and GOG), as well as on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
