Studio Owlcat has confirmed the release of the game for Nintendo Switch 2, but the release date is still unknown.
Studio Owl-Cat Games announced that Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will be moved to Nintendo Switch 2. This step is symbolic: this is the first Owlcat game to be released on the new Nintendo platform.
We don’t yet know the exact release date – the announcement only says a provocative “soon.” The port appeared after the release of a large-scale expansion. Lex Imperialiswhich is already available for PC and consoles.
In the game, you take on the role of a Rogue Trader – a powerful leader with a trade warrant, managing his own empire’s exploration of the Koronus sector. The game combines isometric RPG elements with tactical turn-based combat and decisions that affect the game world. Warhammer 40k fans will surely be delighted.
At the same time, Owlcat hinted at another piece of news – upcoming. open alpha for their next project Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresywhich should appear in the fourth quarter of 2025. So it’s likely that we’ll see it on Switch 2 in time.
