According to the former developer, releasing the project in 2025 is unrealistic.
Project Skyblivionfan remake The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in the fifth engine Skyrimmay miss the intended year of manufacture. One from former developers (Dee Keys) criticized the internal management of the project and noted 2025 for an unrealistic goal – claims that code and assets are often not at the stage at which they are presented in trailers. In a post on Platform X, he even suggested that a much more plausible term might be March 2026.
On the other side core team Skyblivion still insists that considers a 2025 release as a possible targetalthough he has yet to announce a specific date. In comments about Case’s departure, the developers denied that the presentation was misleading – some footage was cut for effect, rather than deliberately falsified.
At the same time, the project recently announced development updates – published information about new epic dungeons and modifications to the city of Anvil, so that the mod felt like a real remake, and not just a port.
So if the creators can accept the delay, we can get a better result – but the tension around the release date remains.
