Developers from an independent American studio Heart machine confirmed the release and completion of development of the anticipated open-world rogue-like game Hyperlight switch. He made a preliminary approach only in January of this year.
“This reflects broader factors beyond our control, including changes in funding, company consolidation and the uncertain environment in which many small studies are conducted today,” Heart Machine says.
The developers will be working on the game for some time, but will take a break by the end of the year. The last update will be released in January. “We’re going to do something in January. We plan to give something meaningful that is as complex and complete as possible.
Hyperlight switch announced the authors three years ago as spiritual successor Hyperlight drifter. The game was first picked up by Gearbox Publishing. Later, when part of the society said goodbye to its mother Embracer, the game remained in the portfolio of the American branch, known today as Arc Games, which the holding retained.
